Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children’s is seeking a faculty member to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology with specialization in Motility Disorders. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and full benefits.

Responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology, plus performance of general pediatric GI procedures.

Formación

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• ACGME-approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology required.
• Texas Medical Board license required.
• Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology or eligibility.

Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children’s is seeking a faculty member to fill a Full-time position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology with specialization in Motility Disorders. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package.

Job Duties

• Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and performance of general GI procedures. The candidate is expected to participate in the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology. The division has also established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained five fellows. The Voelker Clinical Research Center provides assistance for interested faculty who wish to pursue clinical research.

• Outpatient clinical care for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.

• Inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.

• General pediatric gastrointestinal procedures (e.g., upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures)

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent

• Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent)

• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board

• Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible for same)
