Orlando VA Healthcare System's Medicine Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Gastroenterologist. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center.

Duties

1. Clinical experience in Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology.
2. Diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, including capsule endoscopy, esophageal dilation, biopsies, variceal ligation, polypectomy, colonoscopy.
3. Provide comprehensive care including diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and patient education in outpatient and inpatient settings.
4. Complete documentation and accurate coding of visits.
5. Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary care for inpatients.
6. Participate in tumor boards and educational activities of the gastroenterology fellowship.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Schedules may vary based on facility needs.
