The Miami VA Health System is recruiting a Gastroenterologist with interests in advanced endoscopy, general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), or GI motility within the Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. We are a Tier 1b academic VA referral center that incorporates high-quality clinical work, exceptional research opportunities, and teaching in a highly collegial work environment.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed VA physicians who met the requirements at their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements.
This is an open continuous announcement until filled. Responsibilities include outpatient care, history and physicals, participating in clinics, patient education, teaching medical staff, responding to emergencies, diagnostic procedures, and participating in research. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with possible shift variations based on facility needs.
