The National Medical Association seeks a qualified Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive care at the Rochester Calkins Clinic. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing patients' gastrointestinal conditions, performing standard procedures, and participating in quality assurance programs. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit their application within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services after review of the application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.
To qualify, applicants must meet the basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Pending training or license requirements may be temporarily accepted, but employment is contingent upon meeting all requirements. Current VA-employed physicians who met previous qualification standards at initial appointment are deemed to meet basic requirements.
