Job summary

Waikiki Health in Hawaii is seeking a physician to provide adult and pediatric outpatient care on a schedule that includes Monday–Friday with some Saturdays, totaling 40 hours per week. The physician may supervise physician assistants and nurse practitioners and assist with clinic teaching and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications include graduation from a certified medical or osteopathic school, Hawaii medical license, CME compliance, and DEA/Hawaii narcotics licensure.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a certified medical or osteopathic school with 1 year of work experience in a primary care clinic preferred.
  • Must meet CME requirements for licensure.
  • Current license to practice medicine in Hawaii.
  • Current DEA and Hawaii Narcotics Enforcement Division licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive outpatient care for adults and children with referrals as needed.
  • Maintains charting in accordance with standards and clinic policies.
  • Dispenses medications from clinic supply per regulations and policy.
  • Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize against diseases.
  • Participates in quality assurance plans and data collection.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position: Full-time and part-time Physician.
Pay rate: $200,077.60 annually.
Schedule: Monday – Friday; some Saturdays; 40-hour work week

Job summary: The physician provides independent management of the care of adult and pediatric patients; provides supervision for the care delivered by the physician assistants and nurse practitioners; and assists in clinic teaching and administrative responsibilities. Physician may clinically supervise mid-level providers.

General Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides comprehensive outpatient care with the ability to consult and/or refer to other health care providers/services/agencies as necessary.
  • Maintains charting in accordance with legal and clinic standards.
  • Dispenses medications from within clinic supply in accordance with legal and clinic standards.
  • Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize against communicable diseases.
  • Participates in health center and professional quality assurance plans/activities, data collection and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and abilities:

  • Graduate of a certified medical or osteopathic school with 1 year of work experience as a physician in a primary care clinic preferred.
  • Must meet CME requirements for licensure.
  • Current license to practice medicine in Hawaii.
  • Current DEA and Hawaii Narcotics Enforcement Division licensure.
  • Must be able to work with multi-ethnic and multi-cultural staff and clients.
  • Must be eligible for credentialing with Med-QUEST and majority of other third-party payers the clinic participates with.

Waikiki Health requires proof of the following immunization, with or without reasonable accommodation: TB skin test or chest X-ray, and Hepatitis B (optional).
