Physician / Family Practice / Rhode Island / Permanent / PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN for WALK-IN/URGENT CARE position with growing FQHC just minutes from CT, Beaches and Providence Full/Part time

Hope Valley, RI: JUST ANNOUNCED: We seek a confident PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN to join the WALK-IN SERVICE for a growing FQHC/community health center in southern New England. Become part of a medical staff of 25 in a desirable rural location just minutes from the Connecticut border, Rhode Island's best beaches, and Providence. This 3-site nonprofit provides a broad range of services to thousands of patients including primary care, dentistry, behavioral health, women's health, rehab, and more, supported by an on-site lab and pharmacy. The practice offers team-based care aligned with the principles of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Candidates trained and Board Certified in Family Medicine or IM/Peds are ideal. Interested Internists will also be considered. Join a second provider and see current patients on a same-day/unscheduled basis when their primary care provider is unavailable. This service significantly improves patient care quality. If desired, you may divide your time between walk-in care and primary care, developing your own patient panel.

As a walk-in care provider, you will work in a collaborative primary care clinic with your own dedicated MA and access to team RNs. Patients may come in for unscheduled primary care, sick visits, or urgent needs requiring splints or sutures. Focus on acute conditions suitable for outpatient care, including prescribing medications, performing procedures like cryosurgery, foreign body removal, wound care, and more, for patients of all ages.

Flexible schedules are available. Full-time options include 4 or 5 days/week (40 hours), or part-time from 20-30 hours/week. You will split your time between the main practice in Hope Valley, RI, and a second site in Westerly, RI. You may also cover occasional Saturday shifts (9am-2pm).
