Seeking a Part-time Physician
Family Practice/Adult primary care
Job Responsibilities:
- Prescribes appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures related to patients' health status and facilitates appropriate treatment interventions based on these results.
- Provides comprehensive medical services for family members of all ages and sexes on a continuing basis: Examines patients using medical instruments and equipment.
- Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities and achieves productivity goals. Examines patients, formulates differential diagnostic plans, and orders required diagnostic tests.
- Determines the need for consultation and assists in medical care and treatment provided by other specialists.
- Orders or performs tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging to assess patients' conditions.
- Maintains accurate and detailed medical records, including observations during examinations, using EMR systems.
- Administers vaccinations and inoculations to immunize patients against communicable diseases.
- Refers patients to specialists for consultations when necessary for their well-being.
- Prepares records and reports in accordance with established procedures to support services rendered.
- Attends and participates in patient care reports, conferences, and professional activities relevant to assigned cases and services, as determined by the Medical Director.
- Complies with all applicable laws and practices within the scope of Family Practice, including HIPAA.
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Accountability for meeting departmental performance standards, participating in compliance audits, and quality improvement plans.
- Provides health education to patients and families; participates in developing and delivering educational programs for healthcare providers.
Education/Experience:
- MD with current, active, and restricted NYS license.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification.
- American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certification.
- DEA Certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in adult primary care.
Additional Skills/Experience:
- Experience in community-based healthcare settings preferred.
- Understanding of EMRs is helpful.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Excellent written, oral, and computer communication skills.
- Ability to foster positive relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
