Hospital in South Central Missouri is seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist to join the team. You'll discover a quality lifestyle in a breathtaking location. 1. Looking to recruit a BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join 8 other Hospitalists, forming a team of 9.
2. Three hospitalists work during the day (7 am - 7 pm), and one nocturnist works (7 pm - 7 am). Schedule: 7 on, 7 off.
3. The hospital has 114 beds, including OB and Neuro Psych units, which hospitalists see only if consulted. Typically, hospitalists cover 65 beds.
4. Average census per physician is not specified; total admissions per 24 hours are 10-15.
5. Current staffing includes 3 physicians working daily from 7 am to 7 pm, and one physician on nights from 7 pm to 7 am.
6. Physicians start with a set number of patients for rounding and on-call duties during their 12-hour shifts. They may leave early if not admitting, but must remain close (within 20 minutes) in case of urgent needs. Physicians take lunch breaks when possible.
7. The ICU is 12 beds, with ICU skills required (vent management, central lines). ICU support includes anesthesiologists, surgeons, and a pulmonologist available for consults and complex cases. Anesthesia services are available 24/7, and RT staff are proficient with intubation, with anesthesia as backup.
