The Department of Family Medicine in the West Virginia University School of Medicine seeks a Family Medicine physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to work in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: This academic faculty position will include clinical practice in Family Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a family medicine residency program and be board eligible/certified in Family Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia's largest health system and employer. It has expanded significantly in specialty and sub-specialty care, including cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience. The System operates West Virginia's first and only multi-organ transplant center and opened a new, 150-bed Children's Hospital in September 2022. The Department of Family Medicine includes 26 faculty, 5 Advanced Practice Providers, 18 residents, and 1 population health fellow.
