Job summary

Asante seeks a Family Medicine with Obstetrics physician to provide diagnoses and treatment for a broad spectrum of cases in an acute care clinic or primary care setting. The role emphasizes episodic care within the specialty, with continuation of care outside the longitudinal model.

Required qualifications include board certification/eligibility, MD or DO, BLS, and eligibility for hospital privileges and federal programs (Medicare/Medicaid).

Qualifications

• Current or recent experience in practicing as a Family Medicine and Obstetrics provider.
• Graduate of an approved medical school.
• Successful completion of residency training in an ACGME accredited area of specialty program.
• Board Certified/Eligible in area of specialty by the Oregon State Board of Medical Examiners (OSBME).
• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
• Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team.
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• The physician provides diagnoses and treatment to cases within the area of specialty, including acute care clinic or primary physician settings.
• Typically will not include longitudinal care.

Position Summary

This will include patients normally seen in an acute care clinic or primary physician’s office but will usually not include longitudinal care.
