Job Summary

Park Nicollet Clinic is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a well‑established subspecialty practice with five pediatric endocrinologists and diabetes education staff. The role includes general patient care, teaching, and clinical research opportunities. The physician will provide high‑quality care within the scope of practice defined by board certification and will operate within Park Nicollet Health Services standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment, and formulation of a plan of care.
  2. Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care.
  3. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
  4. Consults with and makes appropriate referral to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases.
  5. Maintains the medical record in accordance with PNHS standards.
  6. Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies.
  7. Serves as patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner, and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service.
  8. Assists in development of new policies, programs, procedures, or techniques in designated department.
  9. Participates in research, educational or other special projects as needed.
  10. Performs other related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education, experience or equivalent combination: Graduate of an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Licensure/Registration/Certification: Board Certification or eligibility in respective specialty required; must maintain current state licensure and DEA certificate; must credentialing following NCQA guidelines.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles; proficiency in operation of telephone, dictation devices, CRT, PC, printer, photocopier; proficiency in operation of all equipment used in direct care and treatment of patients.
