Qualifications

Job Summary :


We are seeking an Endocrinology trained physician to join our multispecialty group in pursuit of high quality patient care to provide full scope Endocrinology services.


Responsibilities:


* Review patient's history and perform physical examination. Maintain complete and accurate
medical records.
* Conduct physical evaluation and diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and provide
appropriate treatment and patient care plan.
* Diagnose and treat patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions related to the
endocrine systems.
* Provide comprehensive cost-effective diabetes care with available support of CDE/RD services.
* Recommend suitable management for the patient, including but not limited to, preventive health
recommendations and habits.
* Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
* Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient's psychosocial and physical
needs.
* Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
* Share on-call phone answering responsibilities with other Endocrinologists, at present on or about
every six weeks rotation basis.
* Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.



The Ideal Candidate:


* One to three years of endocrinology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.
* Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of endocrinology conditions with a focus on improving
patient outcomes.
* Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and
safety are maintained.
* Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Interest in Population Health Management.


Qualifications:


* Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent.
* Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency
program in Internal Medicine.
* Completion of two year post graduate medical training from an accredited fellowship program in
area of practice (e.g., (Endocrine, Diabetes, and Metabolism Medicine).
* Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
* Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology
* Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license.
* Must possess Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
* Must possess Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
* BLS or ACLS certification required.
* Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
* Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
