Avera Endocrinology & Diabetes Sioux Falls is seeking a physician to provide and manage comprehensive medical care for patients in a specialized endocrine and diabetes clinic. The role includes evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient education as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires medical licensure in the practicing state, board eligibility or certification, and DEA registration, with regular on-call shifts and a strong focus on compassionate, high-quality care for

• Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per approved protocols.
• Strong communication skills with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients within the practice area.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and document findings.
• Collaborate with care teams for referrals, plan of care, and safety.

Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewProvides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice.What you will doAssesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.Provides medical services and health education to patients and family members. Effectively contributes to the health education of individuals and groups and applies appropriate methods designed to increase each person’s motivation to assume responsibility for their own health care.Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Interprets information gathered during the diagnostic process and formulates appropriate plan of care.Provides quality care for patient, demonstrates appropriate health, safety, and aseptic practices.Recognizes and reacts appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care.
