Job description

Join to apply for the Physician-Endocrinology role at VA Detroit.

This position serves the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center as an Endocrinologist, providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient care services with state-of-the-art technology and education.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing expert consultation and treatment to patients in outpatient endocrine clinics, inpatient wards, and emergency departments.
• Evaluating, triaging, and managing inpatient and outpatient endocrine cases.
• Obtaining medical histories, conducting physical exams, ordering and evaluating laboratory tests, and prescribing treatments.
• Coordinating care with Primary Care providers and other medical/surgical services.
• Participating in on-call duties and quality monitoring.
• Completing administrative tasks such as peer reviews, OPPE, and special projects.
• Participating in educational programs and team meetings.
• Maintaining ethical conduct and serving as a role model.
• Completing medical records in accordance with VA policies.
