Job Description: Physician - Emergency Medicine

The Department of Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is seeking a Physician to join our team, providing excellent patient care. Appointment levels available include Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or full Professor, based on experience.

Position Details

Academic appointment, rank, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and board certification. Compensation is highly competitive.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide and manage direct patient evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care within your specialty or patient population.
  2. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
  3. Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components.
  4. Train and supervise medical students and residents.
  5. Manage daily operations of medical programs or research functions as needed.
  6. Coordinate patient care activities with nursing and support staff.
  7. Follow departmental policies, quality improvement objectives, and safety standards.
  8. Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs if applicable.
  9. Maintain departmental productivity and faculty status with CWRU SOM.
  10. Adhere to physician obligations outlined in the Physician Policy Manual.
  11. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), with annual training and adherence to UH policies.
