Physician - Emergency Medicine

WVU Medicine is seeking qualified candidates to join our team of over 60 full-time faculty members across diverse academic and community emergency departments throughout north central West Virginia. Multiple practice sites offer a variety of clinical experiences, all affiliated with the WVU School of Medicine.

• Ruby Memorial Hospital (54,000 visits) in Morgantown: Level 1 Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, regional tertiary care, with a fully accredited residency program (10 residents/year) and an ultrasound fellowship.
• United Hospital Center (58,000 visits): Located in Bridgeport, 25 miles south of Morgantown, featuring a new hospital and a bedside teaching environment with EM residents.
• St. Joseph's Hospital (24,000 visits): Located in Buckhannon, offering clinical opportunities and teaching with medical students and residents.
• Grant Memorial Hospital (13,000 visits): Located in Petersburg, WV, providing a low-volume practice with large academic support.
• Camden-Clark Medical Center (55,000 visits): Located in Parkersburg, with a new ED opening in Fall 2016, supporting medical student and resident teaching.
• Uniontown Hospital (54,000 visits): In Uniontown, PA, serving Fayette County with comprehensive medical care.

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (including foreign equivalents) and be eligible for an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates should have completed an accredited emergency medicine residency; opportunities are also available for those with alternate board certifications (FM, IM) with significant ED experience.
