Job summary

Cynet Health in Texas City is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for full-time, on-site coverage. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts, with call coverage on weekends and nights.

You will manage an average census of 55–60 patients daily, handling chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and basic trauma cases. Proficiency in ED procedures and a valid medical license are required; ABEM preferred.

Qualifications

• Emergency Medicine experience is required.
• Proficiency in ED procedures including intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, I&D, and central line placement.
• ABEM certification preferred; exceptions made for strong experienced providers.

Responsibilities

• Full-time on-site duties with weekend and night call coverage.
• Average patient census 55-60 daily; 2 patients per hour with occasional larger inflows.
• Two shadow shifts will be provided for orientation; on-site nurses and on-call specialists available.

Description:Full-time positions are available.The schedule includes on-site responsibilities, with call coverage on weekends and nights.The average patient census is 55-60 daily, with 2 patients per hour, and occasional larger inflows.The most common cases include medical complaints such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and shortness of breath, as well as basic trauma such as falls, motor vehicle collisions, and sports injuries.Severe or penetrating trauma is rarely encountered.There is typically one Emergency Medicine physician on staff per shift.Emergency Medicine physicians are expected to commit to ongoing service.Two shadow shifts will be provided for orientation purposes.Support staff includes nurses and on-call specialists.
