The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon to join the Department of Neurological Surgery. Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience.

The successful applicant will have neurosurgery experience with fellowship training in Functional and/or Epilepsy Neurosurgery. They will join an experienced group of two fellowship-trained functional neurosurgeon specialists who will provide mentoring and facilitate transition into an academic practice. Responsibilities include patient care in a clinic setting, resident and fellow education, and research.
Applicants must hold an M.D. degree and demonstrate excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. They should have dedicated training and interest in functional/epilepsy neurosurgery, with research experience in the field, which may be basic, translational, or clinical. Eligibility for an Ohio medical license is required.
The Department of Neurological Surgery comprises 25 physicians, 8 PhD research faculty, 21 residents, and 6 fellows. It includes five divisions: Surgical Neuro-oncology, Skull Base, Spinal Disorders, Cerebrovascular, and Functional. The department offers comprehensive surgical services and is deeply invested in teaching, with six CAST-approved fellowships in various subspecialties.

Clinical faculty: Titles include assistant, associate, and full professor-clinical. They have earned an MD, DO, PhD, or other terminal degree. They focus on clinical care, teaching, and research, with appointments lasting three to five years.
Tenure-Track faculty: Titles include assistant, associate, or full professor eligible for or holding tenure. They primarily focus on research, service, and teaching.
Research Faculty: Titles include research assistant, associate, or professor. They focus on research and are appointed for one to five years without tenure eligibility.
