Locum Critical Care Medicine Job in Pennsylvania

Seeking Pulmonary-Critical Care physicians for long-term locum coverage near Indiana, PA.

Job Details:

1. Coverage Date: Apr. 25, 2022 - May 2, 2022
2. EMR System: Epic
3. Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
4. Practice Setting: Inpatient
5. Other Details:
   • Will cover Medical Critical Care unit
   • Admit approx. 130 patients per month, 10-20 patients per day (14-15 in summer, 18-20 in winter)
   • 24-hour resident coverage; residents take the first call
   • Make rounds on patients in the morning with residents, then be on-call for the remainder of the 24 hours
   • Admissions from Emergency Room: 3-4 per day
   • High acuity patients, including cardiac and sepsis cases
   • Placement of arterial lines
   • Sedation: Deep, Conscious
   • Cardioversion
   • Post-operative cardiac surgical management
   • ACLS certification required
