Physician / Critical Care / Arizona / Permanent / Trauma Surgeon Job

Seeking a Trauma Surgeon/Surgical Intensivist/Acute Care Surgeon to join a prominent medical group in Phoenix, AZ. This group staffs a community hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Center designated by the State and the American College of Surgeons. The department is looking for a fellowship-trained surgeon to provide a full range of surgical services.

Applicants must be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and surgical critical care. Requirements include skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care, trauma patient care, and a record of teaching and research experience (health services, translational, or basic science research). The Trauma Surgeon reports to the Chief of Trauma and the Chair of the Department of Surgery.

Candidate requirements include an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school, completion of a surgical residency, and a surgical critical care fellowship.

This is an employed opportunity within a not-for-profit faculty practice plan owned and operated by physicians, comprising over 400 providers across major medical and surgical specialties. Physicians hold faculty appointments and participate in inter-professional teaching through the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, with a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency.
