About the Role

Our Clients Clinical Pharmacology Research Unit is seeking an experienced and licensed Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our clinical research team on a part-time contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed clinician who is passionate about contributing to early-stage clinical research in a collaborative and state-of-the-art environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medically-related protocol procedures within scope of license and delegation by Principal Investigator, including:
• Physical exams
• Medical histories
• Adverse event assessments
• Clinical lab evaluations
• Maintain high-quality documentation and compliance with AbbVie SOPs, GCP Guidelines, and study protocols.
• Stay current with medical knowledge, technologies, and regulatory practices relevant to clinical research.
• Read Investigator Brochures and complete required training in SOPs and GCP.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Illinois license as MD, DO, NP, or PA-C (in good standing).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or academic setting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain with support).
• Board certification in a medical specialty.
• Experience in clinical research or exposure to GCP-compliant environments.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

• Part-time contract role: 2 or more weekdays/week
• Core hours: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Occasionally extended hours to 4:00 PM depending on protocol needs
