An established industry player is seeking a Physician Compliance Auditor to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with medical standards. Position Type: Hybrid - Atlanta, GA 30315
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
This role involves performing clinical reviews of medical records and documentation to evaluate coding accuracy, medical necessity, treatment setting appropriateness, HIPAA compliance, and other related issues as directed by the Physician Coding Director & Compliance Director. Responsibilities include conducting compliance audits, reporting results, investigating issues, establishing monitoring processes, and educating physicians on coding and documentation standards. The role also entails developing training materials, conducting coding and billing training sessions, and ensuring compliance with billing standards and regulations, focusing on hospital inpatient procedures and specialty physician services.
Medical coding, auditing, communication, organization skills, proficiency in PowerPoint, professional billing and coding, AAPC, AHIMA certifications.
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 per year.
