Description

Gillette Children's is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) Physician Compensation Program Specialist to join our team!

Purpose of Position:

The Physician Compensation Program Specialist is the primary physician-facing partner for Gillette’s compensation program. As a subject matter expert in physician compensation, this role is dedicated to helping physicians understand, navigate, and succeed within the compensation model through individualized coaching, clear communication of performance data, and targeted education.

Gillette believes that the physician compensation program should be collaborative, inclusive, and transparent. The Program Specialist embodies these values by working closely with physicians, human resources, the physician compensation data analyst, revenue cycle teams, the Physician Compensation Advisory Committee, and administrative and operational leadership to support physician engagement and program understanding. This position plays a critical role in aligning physician incentives with organizational goals, enhancing transparency, and fostering a culture of accountability and trust.

Through individualized physician coaching, cross-functional collaboration, and targeted training, the Program Specialist ensures physicians are equipped to engage with the compensation model’s performance expectations. This role partners closely with the physician compensation data analyst, which owns the back-end wRVU calculations and reporting, as well as the revenue cycle team, so the Specialist can focus on meaningful, relationship-centered conversations that support clinical excellence, transparency, and physician engagement.

Compensation and Benefits Information:

The annual salary range for this opportunity is $41,444 to $62,171, with a median salary of $51,807 (adjust for 0.5 FTE). Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Gillette supports career progression and offers a competitive benefits package, including a retirement saving match, tuition and certification reimbursement, paid time off, and health and wellness benefits for .5 FTE and above.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

Compensation Reporting & Communication

  • Review and interpret compensation and productivity reports prepared by the data analytics team, ensuring accuracy and readiness for physician-facing delivery

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Partner with operational leaders to identify and remove barriers to physician productivity
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, operations, and clinical departments on compensation-related needs
  • Coordinate and/or deliver training sessions for physicians and administrative leadership on physician compensation, RVUs, and key components of the compensation program
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to support physician engagement and program success

  • Participate in physician compensation surveys to support benchmarking and compliance
  • Complete special projects as assigned
