Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years CPT/HCPCS physician coding experience.
• Experience with computerized patient records and coding systems.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT-4 and CMS guidelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Codes and abstracts professional fee hospital services for SLPG physicians from medical records.
• Uses 3M Encoder for validation of RVUs and code unbundling.
• Maintains high coding accuracy and daily productivity; stays current with guidelines.
• Documents and communicates coding results to medical staff to ensure compliance.
