The surgeon will be part of Main Line HealthCare, a 600-physician multi-specialty practice.

Clinical Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be fellowship trained and board certified in colon and rectal surgery. Our facilities have a robust multi-disciplinary approach in colorectal diseases and the successful candidate will become part of a well-coordinated team including our NAPRC Certified Rectal Cancer Center. Experience as a minimally invasive surgeon including robotics is required.

Our expectations for clinical care do not include general surgery call; candidates interested in acute care surgery in addition to colorectal surgery can be accommodated.

Scholarly Activity

Main Line Health System has a Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgical Fellowship and a General Surgery Residency based at Lankenau Medical Center. We are a robotic colorectal training center. The successful candidate will become part of our teaching faculty. A leadership role in the general surgery residency may be considered for a candidate with a track record in surgical education; the opportunity to develop expertise in graduate medical education may be considered as part of the faculty appointment.

Our research arm in basic science, outcomes research, and clinical trials is housed in Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR). Opportunities are available for appointment to LIMR as research faculty and for seed funding to initiate research projects.

Our academic partner is Thomas Jefferson University; the successful candidate will be supported in application for clinical faculty appointment.

We are recruiting a talented, minimally invasive colorectal surgeon to provide visionary leadership for an established program committed to outstanding patient outcomes, innovation in the field, and undergraduate/graduate medical education
