A leading healthcare provider in New York is seeking a Chief of Cardiology to oversee cardiology services, ensuring patient safety and timely care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing heart conditions, participating in a comprehensive rewards package, and working a standard schedule. Candidates must have a Doctor of Medicine degree and meet VA qualifications.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Eligibility requirements must be met per VHA policy, and applications must be submitted within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services after review of the application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Pending completion of training or licensing requirements may allow for tentative referral and selection, but employment is contingent upon meeting all requirements. Current VA-employed physicians who initially met the qualification standards are deemed to have met the basic requirements.
