An established industry player is seeking a skilled Neurosurgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care. This role involves performing brain and spine surgeries, managing preoperative and postoperative care, and supervising medical trainees. The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible, possess a Doctor of Medicine degree, and have completed an accredited residency program. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, including award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years), is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending completion of training or licensing requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but cannot be hired until all requirements are met. Current VA-employed physicians who met the requirements at their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements.
