WK Medical Center in Shreveport, LA seeks a physician chart specialist to support the Health Information Management Department in daily operations. This full-time, day-shift role involves chart retrieval, updates after physician completion, and processing dictation and scanning tasks.

• Preference for prior medical office experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records.

Responsabilités

• Retrieve physician incomplete charts for completion.
• Update charts after physicians finish work and dictation.
• Scan reports for charts with deficiencies in the system.
• Document number of delinquent charts and forward reminders to physicians.
• Make follow-up calls and remove physicians from deficiency system after completion.
• Retrieve and file medical records and answer telephone requests.
