Job description

Seeking BE/BC General Cardiologist to join our talented team. Our renowned institute offers comprehensive cardiovascular care, serving major facilities within the system and regional offices in northeast TN and southwest VA. Our team includes over 50 physicians and surgeons, along with 40+ Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), specializing in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery.

Both invasive non-interventional and non-invasive cardiologists are encouraged to apply.

Team Composition and Role Details

1. Our team consists of 8 full-time cardiologists (including 2 general non-invasive, 1 invasive non-interventional, and 5 interventional), 2 cardiothoracic surgeons, APPs, nurses, and support staff.
2. This full-time role is the exclusive cardiovascular position at the medical center and in the region, offering a stable environment focused on high-quality care and a family-friendly atmosphere.
3. The cardiology team focuses on general cardiology, advanced CHF treatment, pacemaker implantation, structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, and advanced imaging. Opportunities include cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, pacemaker/ICD implantation, and cardiovascular imaging.
4. The Medical Center cath lab performs coronary interventions, STEMI PCIs, traditional and leadless pacemaker implants, CardioMems implants, ASD/PFO closures, and PV interventions including EVAR and arterial and venous thrombectomy.
5. Advanced cardiac support devices such as Impella and IABP are available.
6. The noninvasive lab conducts stress tests, echocardiograms, TEEs, and nuclear MPI stress tests.
7. There is an on-site CHF clinic with CardioMems remote monitoring services.
8. Experienced APPs provide clinic and hospital-based support.
9. The Advanced Imaging Department offers CT and nuclear MPI stress test capabilities.
10. Onsite cardiac surgery is available through CVA physician partners.
11. Referral opportunities exist for vascular surgery and structural heart interventions.
12. Compensation is competitive, with annual adjustments based on group productivity, along with a generous sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and educational loan support.
