Job description

Seeking BE/BC Non-invasive Cardiologist due to increased patient need/demand in Myrtle Beach area.

Position Details

1. Full-time position, Monday through Friday
   • 4.5 days clinic time with 0.5-day admin time per week
   • 36 patient contact hours
2. Average of 24 patients per day
3. Team includes 4 APPs, with a 5th being recruited
4. 1:6 Cardiology Call
5. Practice scope includes General & Interventional Cardiology
6. Consult service only; hospitalists manage admissions
7. Affiliated with Duke Health Network (DNH) for cardiology and oncology departments
8. Hospital has 2 Cath labs performing approximately 500 cases annually
9. Referrals include close to 10 open heart patients monthly and 2-3 STEMIs weekly
10. No cardiothoracic surgery at the medical center
11. Comprehensive cardiac imaging available: TTE/TEE, SPECT MPI, CCTA with 256-slice CT scanner
12. Invasive/interventional procedures include:
    • Diagnostic right/left cardiac catheterization with PCI
    • Pacemaker (conventional and leadless), ICD, CRT implantation
      • Full cardiac device clinic with dedicated technician
    • Peripheral interventions with a dedicated lab, including venous and PE interventions
