Non-Invasive Cardiology - West Central Pennsylvania

Location

Only 40 minutes from State College, PA, and 2 hours from Pittsburgh, PA.

Practice Setting

Hospital-employed multi-specialty group with 6 cardiologists, part of a larger group with 70 physicians and over 90 advanced practice providers.

Call and Hours

Shared call at 1 in 5. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary ranges from $460,000 to $500,000, with potential earnings over $550,000. Salary guaranteed for the first two years, then based on production. Sign-on bonus of $25,000.

Benefits include occurrence-based malpractice (with tail), health, vision, dental, life, disability insurance, 20 days of PTO, 5 days CME with a $3,500 annual allowance.

Team and Facilities

The group includes two interventional cardiologists, one non-invasive cardiologist, two electrophysiologists, and one heart failure specialist, along with 4 PAs and 2 NPs.

The practice covers four office locations. There is a pacemaker clinic at the main site and two cath labs in the hospital.

Support comes from cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons. The team has performed over 1,000 Watchman procedures since starting TAVR in 2019.

Hospital and Community

The hospital is a 400-bed, not-for-profit tertiary care facility, a Level II trauma center, and regional stroke, chest pain, and oncology center.

The metro area has a population of 130,000, serving a total area of 430,000, with a trauma service area of 1,000,000. The community is safe, with excellent schools, recreational activities, a local symphony, theaters, arts, and museums.
