Job summary

UVA Community Health in Manassas, VA is seeking a noninvasive cardiologist to join our growing team and provide expert outpatient and inpatient cardiac care at three local acute-care hospitals. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team, perform diagnostic testing, and participate in call coverage (1:5).

Board certification/eligibility and Virginia licensure or eligibility to obtain are required, with opportunity for advanced diagnostic services such as echocardiography, vascular

Qualifications

• Must be board eligible or board certified in their specialty.
• Board eligible candidates still in training must be scheduled for their boards.
• Must be energetic, motivated and collegial.
• Virginia licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a wide range of cardiac conditions in clinic and hospital settings.
• Offer diagnostic testing, monitoring and treatment on-site.
• Support patient volumes in clinic at three local acute care hospitals.
• Maintain call schedule with 1:5 coverage.
• Achieve accreditation in echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and nuclear medicine.
