What You Will Do

1. Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients to meet their medical needs.
2. Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to patients and families.
3. Share healthcare duties with other physicians to ensure availability at all times.
4. Determine necessary referrals based on examinations and patient needs.
5. Assess the urgency of follow-up, referral, or consultation appointments.
6. Exercise final medical judgment on all healthcare issues.
7. Prescribe medical treatments and clinical drugs.
8. Order studies, tests, and ancillary services.
9. Document all services in the patient’s medical record.
10. Review long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
11. Consult with Medical Director and other staff regarding patient care, assessment, and education.
12. Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs.
13. Oversee mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned.
14. Assist in resolving patient complaints, requests, and inquiries.
15. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to regulations.
16. Participate in teaching sessions for hospital and medical staff, residents, and students.

What You Will Need
