Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a physician to join a hospital-employed cardiovascular team in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on establishing a new VAD program and leading a team of five cardiothoracic surgeons within an accredited cardiovascular institute.

You will manage advanced heart failure care, including ECMO and cardiogenic shock, and work in a research-supported environment with opportunities to contribute to program development and outcomes improvements.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Experience leading a VAD program and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage advanced heart failure care including ECMO and shock.
• Active involvement in accredited cardiovascular programs and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a new VAD program within a cardiovascular institute.
• Provide surgical and clinical leadership in advanced heart failure management.
• Collaborate with a multi-specialty cardiology group and cardiothoracic surgeons.
• Participate in ongoing research and clinical outcomes improvement.
