Job Responsibilities

• Perform cash posting functions for physician cardio claims.
• Post payments, reconcile journals, remits, and move money to patient responsibility.
• Analyze explanation of benefits and act accordingly.
• Ensure assigned postings are completed within stipulated time.
• Complete unposted payment and denial postings promptly.
• Respond timely to email queries from clients or management.
• Follow processes for updates received from clients or TQM team.
• Perform daily reconciliation after posting all batches.
• Meet deliverables such as productivity, quality, PKT, attendance, etc.

Additional Job Duties

• Balance statements.
• Document in spreadsheets.
• Post unapplied cash and zero payment remits.
• Check the lockbox for correspondence.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, specifically cash posting.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience in denial management.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness, communicating trends and issues to management.
• Technical skills including Excel, Payer Portals, and Claims Clearinghouses.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate is between $19.00 - $21.00, depending on experience and qualifications. The position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program.
