Qualifications

• Must be BC/BE in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship trained or similar experience in cardiac anesthesia.
• TEEs certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for a variety of surgical cases including cardiac surgery.
• Manage complex anesthesia care in a high-volume heart hospital.
• Lead the anesthesia team with support from dedicated cardiac CRNAs.

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a full-time BC/BE cardiac anesthesiologist to join our nationally recognized and aware-winning group. Our anesthesia group is established and growing and will welcome you immediately with no partnership track or buy-in.

• 877-bed tertiary hospital and Level I trauma center with 24 main OR's
• Expanding heart hospital with 4CV/Hybrid OR's and multiple Cath/EP labs
• Diverse set of cases: OB, orthopedics, eye, trauma, pain, pediatrics, etc. Qualified physicians eligible for cardiac team
• 48-bed, freestanding, dedicated orthopedics hospital with 10 OR's
• Ambulatory surgery center with 8 OR's
• Eye surgery center with 4 OR's
• 4 C-Section rooms for OB
• 22 anesthesiology physicians and 80 CRNA/AAs
• 600+ integrated physicians across all medical specialties
• Catchment area over 2M lives
• System-wide EPIC EMR for 15+ years

• Medical management model for anesthesia - dedicated cardiac CRNAs for Heart Hospital
• Cardiothoracic Fellowship trained (or similar work experience) with TEE certification are eligible for an additional stipend to support active and growing heart hospital volume (500+ annual heart surgical cases, hundreds of ablations and devices, ECMO, LVAD, 200+ annual TAVR cases, etc.)
