Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Fellowship-Trained Breast Surgeon to join our growing Comprehensive Breast Health Program.

Position Highlights

• Join an established Comprehensive Breast Health Program with a robust referral base
• Practice within a multidisciplinary, collaborative cancer care team
• Utilize the latest surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and oncoplastic procedures
• Work in a technologically advanced environment with Epic electronic medical records
• Opportunity to teach and mentor residents and medical students

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care in both ambulatory and inpatient settings
• Perform a full range of breast surgical procedures, including:
  • Mastectomies
  • Lumpectomies
  • Excisional biopsies
  • Infusaport placement for chemotherapy
  • Sentinel lymph node biopsy
  • Axillary lymph node dissection
  • Oncoplastic closure techniques
• Perform and interpret breast ultrasound examinations
• Perform ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies
• Document patient care within the Epic electronic medical record
• No general surgery call
• Contribute to the education of residents and medical students as opportunities arise

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery or equivalent
• Fellowship trained in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology
• Eligible for or currently holding a Georgia medical license
• Minimum of 3 years of breast surgery experience
• Experience with breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided biopsy, and stereotactic biopsy
• Demonstrated expertise in both benign and malignant breast disease, including oncoplastic breast surgery
