Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida seeks a Physician Billing Auditing Manager to lead auditing for physician practices across specialties with a focus on coder education. The role drives coding accuracy, regulatory compliance, and optimal reimbursement through proactive audits and cross‑functional collaboration.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in health information management or related field, CPC/CCS, 5+ years coding experience (2+ in leadership), and strong CPT/ICD-10 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
• CPC, CCS, or equivalent credential required.
• CPMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of coding experience with at least 2 years in leadership/auditing.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and E/M guidelines.
• Experience with EHRs, coding software, and audit tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Audit oversight and execution of professional fee coding.
• Lead and develop audit program and provide mentorship.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CPT, ICD-10, and payer guidelines.
• Prepare audit reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Collaborate with providers and revenue cycle teams to improve coding.
