Job description

Position Details

The Physician Associate Program in the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences occasionally has openings for part‑time temporary adjunct instructors. Applying for a part‑time teaching appointment would add the applicant to a pool available to the departmental search committee for consideration when a need arises. These include foundational courses in the Physician Associate Program such as Clinical Anatomy, Clinical Physiology and Pathophysiology, and Biomedical Sciences.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in physician assistant studies, medicine, anatomy, physiology, biology, biochemistry, or a closely related health science field.
• If a healthcare professional, must have a current license and/or certification.
• Minimum of two years of prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level or higher.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong written and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in the above health science fields.
• Prior experience teaching at the graduate or health professions level.
• Clinical background in a field that directly applies anatomical or physiological knowledge.
