Summary

The Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development provides leadership in administration, clinical practice, and program development for the Medical Center's Research and Development Service. This role ensures the achievement of clinical, research, and educational goals. The candidate should have an established record of collaborative research with academic institutions and proficiency in research data analysis and interpretation, suitable for presentations and publications.

Qualifications

The incumbent must be a board-certified physician with advanced clinical experience, demonstrated leadership skills, and meet faculty appointment requirements at affiliated academic institutions.

Must Have:
  • Skills in clinical interface with academic and stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to coordinate broad programs.
  • Management experience with strong administrative and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary care approaches.
Functions/Responsibilities
  • Oversee and administer the R&D program, including clinical work, quality improvement, research, and education.
  • Manage budgets and fiscal activities.
  • Promote customer service and continuous quality improvement.
  • Support research translation into patient outcomes.
  • Develop strategic and budget plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with other services to optimize resource use and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements
