Albany Med Health System's Department of Urology in Albany, NY is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy general urology practice. The position offers outpatient care in a collaborative, team-based environment with a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will evaluate and manage diverse urologic conditions, perform in-office procedures, document in the EMR, and participate in quality initiatives, with on-site work at South Clinical Campus and Niskayuna.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience a plus.
• Collaborate effectively across departments for cohesive patient care.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with general urologic conditions.
• See scheduled patients and same-day urgent add-ons (hematuria, UTIs, PSA elevations, stones).
• Perform in-office procedures (testosterone and Eligard injections).
• Educate patients, conduct follow-ups, and manage medications.

The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy and collaborative general urology practice. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time Monday-Friday schedule

• Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Upon completion of onboarding and training, four 10-hour days may be available.

• Primary sites: South Clinical Campus (Albany) and Niskayuna

• Average 18-20 patients per day once fully trained

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of general urologic conditions

• See both scheduled patients and same-day urgent add-ons for concerns such as hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, and kidney stones

• Perform in-office procedures, including testosterone and Eligard injections

• Conduct patient education, follow-up visits, and medication management

• Collaborate closely with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support staff to ensure high-quality patient care

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies

• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record

• Participate in quality improvement and practice efficiency initiatives

Qualifications:

• License and active registration as a physician assistant in New York State

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Familiarity working in electronic medical records. Epic experience a plus.

• Collaborate effectively across various departments to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and a positive work environment.

• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
