A leading healthcare provider seeks a Physician Assistant Supervisor to oversee clinical teams, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective resource management. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, making it crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards.
This candidate is an active physician assistant, working 80% of their time in their designated clinical specialty and 20% in administrative duties. They supervise, coordinate, and administer the practice of advanced healthcare professionals (AHP), including nurse practitioners and physician assistants. They ensure quality of care, serve as role models, expert clinicians, and mentors. They also assist with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources.
Provides direct supervision to a team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners at UCLA West Valley Medical Center, caring for surgical patients including General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, and Urology patients. Acts as an advisor to the unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas), and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate actions. Supervises staff to ensure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human), aligned with departmental goals and objectives.
This is one APP Supervisor position that will be filled as either a PA Supervisor or NP Supervisor.
Salary range: $140,200 - $331,800 annually.
