Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Physician Assistant for Spine and Orthopedic services. This full-time, day-shift position requires an AMA-accredited PA program graduate with Texas PA license, ACLS/BCLS, and credentialing by Medical Staff Services.

Experience in spine/orthopedics preferred. You will perform H&Ps, orders, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, documenting in the EHR, and ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant program required.
• Texas PA license required upon hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; BCLS prior to independent patient care; credentialing by Medical Staff Services.

Responsibilities

• Performs H&Ps and writes delegated physician orders including medications, plans for procedures and discharge.
• Rounds on patients and communicates with the care team.
• Documents actions and plans in the EHR using approved protocols and orders.
• Contributes to patient experience and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams.
• Meets regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Performs clinical procedures within scope of training.
