Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking Per Diem Physician Assistants to join our Denver, CO NICU practice.

This role covers Level II/III NICU with 24-hour in-house shifts, including an OR 12-hour shift 7am-7pm for high-risk deliveries and newborn rounds. Applicants must have NCCPA certification, a Master’s degree, CO license or eligibility, and at least 3 years of NICU post-graduate experience; OB/Gyn or Neonatology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NCCPA certification required.
• Minimum of a Master’s Degree.
• CO active license or eligibility to obtain CO license.
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate NICU experience (Level II/III).
• Hands-on OB/Gyn and/or Neonatology experience in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level II/III NICU coverage and 24-hour in-house shifts.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and rounds on well-newborns.
• Support Level III NICU as needed and provide downtime coverage for NNP.

Per Diem Seeking Physician Assistants to Join Our Denver, CO Practice

• Level II and Level III NICU Coverage
• 24 Hour Inhouse NICU Shift
• (OR) 12 Hour shift NBN/Delivery Role: 7am-7pm, attends all high risk deliveries, rounds well-newborns, assists in Level III NICU as needed.
• Provides downtime coverage to 23-Hour NNP in level III NICU for 2-4 hours in the afternoon.

• Current Certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Minimum of a Master’s Degree
• CO Active License or Elig to Obtain CO License
• Minimum of 3 Year's Post Graduate Experience in Level II/Level III NICU (New Grads not eligible)
• Hands On Experience in Ob/Gyn and/or Neonatology in Hospital Setting

Pediatrix does cover per diem staff travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice. This position is W-2.

Compensation: The pay for this position starts at $ 65.00/hour
