Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active Maine APRN license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Prescriptive authority or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Ability to provide primary care across the lifespan.
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Commitment to accessible and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative rural-health environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Conduct physical examinations, wellness visits, and preventive screenings.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Manage chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
  • Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies.
  • Prescribe medications within applicable licensure and authority.
  • Educate patients and families about prevention, treatment, and long-term health management.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
  • Support quality-improvement and population-health initiatives.

Family Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care

HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for an established Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern Maine.

This outpatient primary care opportunity offers a broad clinical scope, meaningful provider autonomy, and the opportunity to care for patients throughout every stage of life. The FNP will join an integrated healthcare team focused on improving access and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a close-knit rural community.
