Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join Pride Clinic in Akron, OH. This 100% outpatient role will work with two physicians to manage new and established visits, perform exams, and support hormone therapy, PrEP/PEP prescribing, and STI screening.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio PA license, NCCPA certification, and 3–5 years of experience, with a patient-panel background and BLS certification. Employment includes a comprehensive benefits package within Summa Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant with Advanced Practice program.
• NCCPA certification is required.
• Active Ohio license or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• See new and established visits in a Pride Clinic setting.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
• Prescribe Hormone Replacement Therapy protocols, PrEP/PEP.
• Provide patient education and preventive care guidance.
• Conduct STI screening and preventive care services.

Summa Health is seeking an Physician Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a provider that is passionate about our Pride Clinic's mission, values, and patient-center approach. This will be the only advanced provider working with our two physicians in the clinic. The provider will be seeing new and established visits, conducting physical exams, and should have a familiarity with Hormone Replacement Therapy protocols/monitoring, PrEP and PEP prescribing, patient education, and STI screening / preventative care.

The selected provider will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by Summa Health. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.

Candidate Requirements

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant with completion of Advanced Practice program in area of expertise and National certification NCCPA.
• Seeking experienced providers; 3 to 5 years required
• Experience with having their own patient panel is preferred
• Active Ohio license or willingness to obtain
• BLS Certification
• Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment
