Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to manage arrhythmia/EP patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves pre/postoperative assessments, device clinic work, and collaboration with Attending Physicians to optimize care.

You will coordinate EP procedures, obtain consent, educate patients, review tests, and discharge with proper follow-up. Travel between Moses, Weiler, and Hutch Center sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• NCCPA certification is required.
• Physician Assistant license in New York State is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate patients including preoperative assessments, post-op assessments, device clinic, EP clinic and inpatient consultations.
• Coordinate ambulatory process for EP procedures, obtain consent, educate patients and arrange post-operative care.
• Interrogate ICDs and pacemakers and adjust management as needed.
• Triage sick calls and handle patient questions; authorize refills and prior authorizations.
• Discharge EP inpatients with follow-up and medications.
• Assess inpatient arrhythmia consults and coordinate patient care.
• Provide EP clinical documents such as clearance and disability forms.
