Job Summary

The Orthopedic Physician Assistant is an independent healthcare provider responsible for coordinating inpatient orthopedic care in collaboration with physicians, following practice policies, and adhering to state regulations.

Essential Functions
  • Assist physicians with evaluation and management of emergency, inpatient, and surgical patients.
  • Perform H&Ps, physical exams, and facilitate patient flow.
  • Assist with procedures and surgeries, coordinate patient cases.
  • Organize and prioritize work effectively, communicate clearly.
  • Implement practice policies, perform assessments, and provide emergency care when needed.
  • Order and interpret labs and imaging, prescribe medications per guidelines.
  • Maintain current certifications (BLS, ACLS, CME, DEA).
  • Perform quality assurance evaluations and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide patient education as necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Physician Assistant Certification and licensure in New Jersey.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • CDS and DEA licenses.
  • Preferably >2 years surgical management experience; open to new grads with surgical background.
