Job summary

JAFFE ETHICAL ADDICTION AND PAIN CA is seeking a Physician Assistant to examine patients, take medical histories, and assist in forming diagnoses and treatment plans. The role involves interpreting tests, explaining results to patients, and prescribing therapies with physician oversight in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong bedside manner, experience charting in a medical setting, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensing required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records
• Read test results, interpret data appropriately, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes
• Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan
