• Experience Requirements: One year of experience in a health care setting is preferred.
• Other Requirements: Must be able to complete computer work.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to physician’s effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues; providing information; recommending options; implementing physician directives.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations.
• Determines abnormal conditions by ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes medications based on the cooperative agreement with the supervising physician.
• Documents patient care completely and timely.
• Performs therapeutic procedures and wound management.
• Provides patient education and counseling.
